Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) Initiatives The EYL Program will impact the lives of girls in grades six through eight. The program is designed to provide leadership development, civic engagement, enhanced academic preparation, and character building. Upon completion of the program the young girls should be prepared to face the increasing demands of the twenty-first century by becoming better leaders at a younger age; thus making smart choices with positive consequences.
The Emerging Young Leaders Program will convene its first meeting: October 6, 2012 • Salem Baptist Church in Jenkintown, PA • 10:00 AM. Young girls from school districts in Montgomery and Bucks counties and their parents or guardians are invited to attend the opening session and enroll in the program. Enrollment is limited. Participation is free of charge. The girls will participate in discovery, in team building, in the various learning experiences, and in group development activities. Meetings are held the first Saturday of the month at the same location from 10:00 am until noon. Girls interested in the new program should contact the representative listed below: For additional information, please email: Mrs. Marie Simpkins at: marie_h_simpkins@yahoo.com. ![]() |
